Work is well underway on the external paintwork of 14-96 Amsterdam Road. This is routinely carried out every five years. It is expected that it will take about five weeks, weather permitting. But, have you noticed - the painter on the right of the picture is a woman - Julie.
Chandos Films descended on London Yard on Wednesday (24th) to film a scene in a "low budget" film. The action appeared to be a group of miserable-looking young men emptying the contents of an urn into the river. Our ever-vigilant managing agent, Jonathan Channing, was in attendance to negotiate a contribution to the service charge funds.

interesting to know there are Chinese mitten crabs living in London
Yard and the Thames. They absolutely cost a fortune in China
-- you can buy the raw ones for at least £5 a pound, and good ones
can cost above £10 each, not to mention if you order them in
restaurants. One thing to correct though -- as far as I know,
people never eat them raw, whether the meat or the
"gonads". The usual ways to cook are to steam or fry
with some very simple condiments to keep its original taste.
Dead crabs are considered not fresh and usually discarded before
cooking.
