Eldorado Actor Joins Board

Jonathan Reason, who played Mickey in the BBC's soap Eldorado, was elected to the Board of the London Yard Management Company at the annual general meeting. Jonathan (pictured right) has appeared in a number of films including The Russia House and The Krays and has TV credits to his name. He has lived in Van Gogh Court for many years.

Other new directors elected at the AGM were Angela Brown and Tim Burton. Angela, of Rembrandt Close, was previously a board member from 1998 to 2000 when she had to step down because of work pressures. Now, a sub-editor at the Guardian, her work patterns allow her to return as a director. Tim Burton is relatively new to London Yard but is keen to help to make London Yard a great place to live.

Message from Mark

Dear Residents of London Yard,

I have joined the Wood Group as part of company drive to provide a premium service to a small number of our top end properties in the Docklands area. We are looking to make a long term commitment to the area and will be opening a local office by the end of March 2004. London Yard is the largest estate in the portfolio and our aim will be to provide a more hands on management style with a closer working relationship with the board.

I'm a New Zealander and moved to London two years ago with my wife. I have worked for DGA Plc for most of that period as a property manager and now look forward to this new challenge with the Wood Group. I will be looking to make regular weekly visits to the estate and look forward to meeting residents, so please make yourself known if you are around.

Regards

Mark Tamuta, Property Manager

Kiwi to Polish Up the Service

New Zealander, Mark Tamuta, has been appointed by Wood Management as their Property Manager for London Yard.

It is becoming a permanent feature of the Annual General Meeting that a new property manager is introduced as a result of the failings of the previous incumbent. As usual the Board are hopeful that the coming year will prove to be better than the last - and the one before that, and the one before that.

This time may be different. Mark was interviewed by a Board sub-committee prior to the appointment being made. Londonyard.com wishes him every success and will give him any assistance he requests.

Parking Enforcement Resumes

The London Yard Parking Scheme has not been enforced for almost a year - until now. The Security Guard ran out of the required notices and, therefore, had to stop enforcing the scheme. These notices have now been redesigned and reprinted. So, if you haven't got an up-to-date permit, or you are in the habit of parking in an unauthorised place, take note!

If you need permits you can order them by clicking on the "P" icon on the left of this screen.

I've had good luck in the Bond market. I bought a 007 lunchbox at a flea market for $25 and sold it on eBay for $300
