Shama to Climb K2K2

Shama Butt, our managing agent, is to climb K2 later in the year to raise money for the Citizens Foundation which builds and runs schools in rural parts of Pakistan.

"I've never done anything like this before and now that I've put my mind to it, there's no going back.  I will train; will take the pain, so all of you out there give what you can!!!"  Weekends are now spent training in Wales.

Shama training in Wales last weekendAt 8,611m, K2 is the second highest peak on Earth. Locally known as ''Chogo Ri'', which means 'The Great Mountain'', it is located on the border with China in the mighty Karakoram range.  K2 is considered a more difficult climb than Everest, due, in part, to it's terrible weather and comparatively greater height above the surrounding terrain - hence it's nickname ''the Savage Mountain."

Internal Decoration underway

At its March meeting, the Board of the management company agreed to start the internal redecoration of some of the smaller blocks on Amsterdam Road.

Work will shortly begin on 1-11 Amsterdam Road, 2-12 Amsterdam Road and 13-63 Amsterdam Road.

Key Fob Entry System

Key FobFollowing the very successful pilot of the use of magnetic key fobs in Frans Hals Court, it has been decided to extend the system to Van Gogh Court and Vermeer Court.

The key-pad system will be disabled and each property will be allocated two key fobs. This makes gaining entry to the building quicker and increases the security of the building. Additional fobs will be available.

Vermeer Court Water Problems

5th floor of Vermeer Court - Search for source of water leak

A number of water leaks springing up in Vermeer Court has caused Ricky Lewis to play Sherlock Holmes.

Tracing the source of the leak proved difficult but in the end it was elementary my dear Watson. Our insurance company is not going to be happy, however.

Simon Resigns

Simon HollingworthSimon Hollingworth, a director since March 2005, has resigned from the Board of the Management Company for personal reasons.

James Rimmer, Chairman of the Board, thanked Simon for his efforts on the company's behalf. He has decided not to stand for re-election at the AGM.
