Vermeer Court - Work starts on time

The work on Vermeer Court started, as planned, on 13th August. The work is expected to last 26 weeks.

Owners of Vermeer Court properties are reminded that their contribution to the repairs, included in the service charge, is now due.

Burglary in Amsterdam Road

Sally Anne Hill, who lives at the end of Amsterdam Road, suffered a very upsetting burglary recently when valuable jewellery and other sentimental items were taken.

The raid was featured in the East London Advertiser and the local police are keen to advise residents on their individual security needs. You can contact Tom Notley, the Crime Prevention Design Advisor, on 020 8217 4703.

Burglars should note that Sally Anne does not intend to replace the stolen items because they are "irreplaceable".

Bins Unlocked - commonsense reigns!

After a number of emails to the Council's recycling team and help from Cllr Phil Briscoe (more of him below) the bins have been unlocked.

Director resigns

Kevin Taylor, who has been a director of the London Yard Management Company since March 2005 has resigned.

In his resignation, Kevin said that he had recently taken on a more demanding role professionally and had also become a parent governor of his daughter's school. He said that "It was great working with you all; I wish you continued success with the improvements to London Yard and well done for all the good work that has been achieved over the last few years".

Kevin Taylor's valuable contribution to the management of the company will be missed.
