Pond bridge and decking - now dangerous

The bridge and decking around the pond is in need of major refurbishment. Decking planks are becoming detached from their frames because of the wood, to which they are attached, is rotting.

Ricky Lewis examines the bridge and decking

Ricky Lewis (photographed) has inspected the damage and has submitted a quotation for its repair. The work will be done with some urgency because the bridge and decking is used by a large number of people including school children from the local primary school doing nature study.

Pampas grass overgrown in the pond - by Richard Weedon, Leerdam DrivePond growth and gases

There were also other problems with the pond that had to be addressed. The excessive growth of the grasses in the pond on its north side have been cut down and the methane gas, under the pond lining, will be released soon. New Director to join the Board

Frances McKeithFrances McKeith, Vermeer Court, has agreed to join the Board at its next meeting.

Frances works in Canary Wharf and moved, late last year, to London Yard to stop commuting four hours a day over 8 trains!

She has many years experience in IT project and relationship management and hopes to use these skills to the benefit of all who live in our development.

But, another director resigns

Ray Roberts, who joined the board of the management company in March 2005, has stood down.

Ray has been unwell for some time and, in his resignation letter, he thanked his fellow board members for their help over the last few years and wished the board success in the future.
