All Change at the Top
Frances intends that the new board will concentrate on the management company's core responsibilities of maintenance of the infrastructure and the provision of the existing services to residents. Plans to install CCTV, mobile security and gating of the estate have been discontinued, at least for the foreseeable future. The
Board of the company has recently been losing directors at an unusual rate and
four more directors have indicated that they intend to stand down in the near
future. The Board felt it necessary to reconstitute itself and will do so over

During the Second World War, the RAF undertook a remarkable aerial survey of the British Isles. Taking photographs from a low flying Spitfire, they mapped the whole of the United Kingdom. Focusing on London, in this book they show the havoc wreaked by the Luftwaffe. The book is laid out with the historic shot on one side of the page and the modern equivalent on the other. For example, we see the Isle of Dogs and Canary Wharf reduced to rubble in the Second World War, compared with the shimmering metal and glass towers of today. |
