To London Yard Property Owners.

One of the major issues that was voiced prior to and at the recent AGM was
the condition of the 20 year old wooden window frames in many properties on
the Estate.  The window frames are the responsibility of the property owners - see the Document Library item entitled "Replacement Windows" on this website.

However, the board has taken note of the concern and are exploring the possibility of finding a single supplier to provide replacement windows for owners, on the Estate, who wish to replace their original wooden frames with PVC ones.

  
We would hope that by undertaking this work on behalf of the owners we can
substantially reduce the amount of work they have to undertake individually
and also ensure that the supplier can be fully vetted prior to us making a
recommendation.  It is also likely that the supplier would be looking at a
much cheaper cost per unit given the likely number of units that might be
replaced.  The management company cannot, however, take any responsibility for the quality or timely completion of the contract made between the window supplier and the property owner.

We would have to make it clear that each owner would enter into
an individual contract with the supplier and they would be responsible for
payment for the replacement frames.
